COLD “FORGET ABOUT IT” JIMMY WARREN BRINGS THE HEAT
JANUARY, 2010 (CHICAGO/BEECHER, ILLINOIS) It is frigid cold in America’s heartland, but no matter. A new record label called Electro Glide Records opened its doors the first day of this new, soon to be, coldest year of the 2010 decade. EGR has hired its own Professor of Global Warmingology and his name is Jimmy Warren. Professor Warren is EGR’s first recording artist and he is already melting those Arctic Glaciers with his blazing guitar licks and scorching vocals. Jimmy Warren and EGR have combined forces in the promotion of the Professor’s new CD “No More Promises” and it is HOT.
Jimmy is a veteran of the Chicago blues scene. He brings twenty five years of heat to the music business having played or sat in with some of the greatest blues artists that have ever been. He has numerous current, or past friends/buddies in the blues scene including the likes of the late Buddy Scott, Buddy Miles and Buddy Guy. Jimmy has honed his skills in the smoky; sometimes seedy, little joints located on the corners of “Heartache and Hell”, AKA the mean, cold, windblown streets of Chicago.
When these six foot cornstalks are harvested, the wind can blow just as hard and fierce across America’s Heartland as it does in Chicago. You would not expect this caliber of a musician to live in a corn/soybean community, but he does and that’s the way he likes it. He loves his rural life style having grown up in the small city of Bradley. He now resides in Beecher. You know three miles further up the road”.
Bruce Iglauer from Alligator Records has said that "Jimmy is a powerful guitarist with a great Feel". Jimmy has been in the top ten of Blues City Radio Top Ten blues charts for multiple weeks in the past year of 2009 and still is. He currently, as of this writing, is number four on the charts. Another artist with Electro Glide Records is Al Stone and he has the number five spot.
Electro Glide Records is set to release Jimmy Warren's latest CD "No More Promises" March 1, 2010. Al stones CD is right behind him and is scheduled for May 15, 2010. There is a presale going on at Jimmy Warren's Site.
