More Kenny Wayne Shepherd!
Posted on 9/30/2010 by Monica Yasher
Today Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band released new record LIVE! In Chicago, which showcases Kenny and his band, Noah Hunt, Chris Layton, Scott Nelson and Riley Osbourn, along with special guests, blues legends Hubert Sumlin, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Buddy Flett, Bryan Lee and Tommy Shannon (of Double Trouble).
While Kenny’s musical career has been nothing short of phenomenal, his passion for cars easily matches his passion for guitars. To celebrate the release of LIVE! In Chicago, Roadrunner Records has posted a video of Kenny giving fans an exclusive look into his custom-built 1970 Plymouth Duster.
The brilliant cast of musicians on LIVE! In Chicago is evidence of Kenny’s commitment to uniting older and younger generations of bluesmen on one stage. His reverence and awe for blues tradition is only made clearer by listening to single “I’m a King Bee,” a swamp blues song first recorded by the legendary Slim Harpo in 1957. Stream “I’m a King Bee”.
Kenny is also going on the road as part of the Experience Hendrix tour.
