Terra Blues | American Blues News - "Dedicated to the promotion and celebration of the Blues."

OK Blues fans, this week I am featuring photos of James Armstrong, another one of those guys that has slipped past my radar. These are from a recent show at Terra Blues on June 3 and in true Terra Blues fashion it was another good show. I can tell you that James has two WC Handy Awards nominations and that he was worked with the likes of Coco Montoya, Chaka Khan, Albert Collins, Keb Mo, Mitch Mitchell and Ricky Lee Jones. Go out and catch this fine bluesman when he hits a venue near you.

A tip of the cap to Richard Lee at Terra Blues for letting me do my thing.
Until the next go-round, keep supporting the Blues. As you can see these cats are working hard to lay it down for you.

Welcome back Blues fans! This week I am featuring photos of Slam Allen from his CD release show at Terra Blues on May 22. A good time was had by all! Slam is a crowd pleaser and he's always smiling so you know he's having a great time. The turnout was good for Slam's show. I'm not sure if he's still with him but I caught Slam a while back as a member of James Cotton's band. As you can see Slam ventured out into the crowd and they loved it. I've seen a few artists do that at Terra Blues and the crowd eats it up. Like I've said before, if you happen to be in New York go check out Terra Blues. Always a good show there. These photos don't lie!

I would like to thank Richard Lee of Terra Blues for allowing me to do my thing there.
Until the next go-round, keep supporting the Blues. As you can see these cats are working hard to lay it down for you.
